Who writes this

Jack Stovell

Founder of Adapt Progress Evolve · 13 years of finance experience

I'm Jack Stovell, founder of Adapt Progress Evolve. I've spent 13 years in finance: month-end closes, management accounts, budgets and a lot of spreadsheets. That's why the finance pages go further than the rest, because that's the work I know.

The HR and office admin hubs are different, and I'd rather say so plainly. They're built from the primary sources each page cites, not from experience working in HR or office management. If you work in those jobs and spot something that doesn't match how it really goes, tell me at hello@usingaias.com. I'd rather fix it than leave it.

How pages are made

Every page starts from one rule: the numbers and the decisions come from your own systems and people. The ledger, the HR system and the bank hold the figures. AI drafts words, structure and formulas, and a person checks and approves. Everything else follows from that.

Sources are primary where possible. Pages cite the ICO, gov.uk, Acas, Xero Central, Microsoft, OpenAI and Anthropic, so you can click through and read the original rather than take my word for it. If a detail isn’t in a source I can point to, it stays out, or the page says “check the current version”. Software changes and menus move.

Checking is built into the guides. Each task guide has numbered steps, copy-and-paste prompts, and a checkpoint after every step that tells you what you should now see, then the common mistakes and a sign-off checklist. Each role hub ranks what to hand to AI first, lowest risk first, says what to keep human, and lists what should never be pasted into a consumer AI tool.

Dates are honest. Every page shows when it was published and when it was updated, and the updated date changes only when the content changes. The first pages were published on 1 October 2026.

Examples are fictional. The P&L guide comes with a downloadable Excel workbook built on a made-up company’s trial balance, with its totals checked by formula. No real people and no real company’s figures.

Our products are labelled. Some pages mention products made by Adapt Progress Evolve Limited, such as ScriptGrain. Those mentions are always labelled as ours, never change what a guide tells you to do, and there are never more than three on a page.

Corrections go to hello@usingaias.com. If something’s wrong, the page gets fixed and its updated date changes to match.

Not financial, legal, tax or HR advice.
